Position: Medical Director
Department: Professional/Management

 

Hospice of Davidson County is seeking a full time Medical Director for our new 12 bed Henry Etta and Bruce Hinkle Hospice House. The facility will be located in the center of Davidson County within 20 minutes of Lexington, Thomasville, Denton, Welcome, and northern Davidson County. The physician will serve as the Medical Director for the inpatient facility, home care, and palliative care program. The Medical Director will also be the liaison between Hospice and the medical community.

 

The candidate must have a Medical Degree from an accredited school with a minimum of five years of experience working directly with patients facing end of life issues, pain and symptom management and their caregivers.  Hospice interdisciplinary team experience is required.  Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred or must be attained within two years of employment.
