Hospice of Davidson County provides care without regard to diagnosis, age, gender, nationality, race, creed, religion, sexual orientation, disability or ability to pay.

Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance organizations cover Hospice care. Donations are usually tax deductible and ensure our ability to care for people without regard to their ability to pay.

  • The patient shall have a limited life expectancy with the anticipated prognosis determined by the physician to be six months or less
  • The patient shall designate an attending physician who is willing to work with the Hospice of Davidson County team.  The physician may practice outside the service area.
  • The patient is receiving palliative rather than curative treatment.
  • The patient shall have equal access to Hospice services regardless of his or her designated place of residence, including licensed facilities willing to work with the Hospice team.
